Journal of Visual Culture: Architecture!
Journal of Visual Culture is an international refereed journal published three times per year, which promotes research, scholarship, and critical engagement with visual culture within the humanities and social sciences. For an issue guest edited by Jae Emerling, based around the theme 'Architecture!', I contributed, with Alfredo Brillembourg, Hubert Klumpner, and Michael Waldrep, an essay entitled 'Architecture in the Age of Digital Reproduction'. The piece explores how the same visual culture that transforms architectural images into an aspirational lifestyle currency can be deployed in the service of social change.
This issue of the magazine also includes contributions from Martino Stierli, Giancarlo Mazzanti, Jane Rendell, and Sarah Deyong.
